Consultation on schools reducing Published Admission Numbers for 2024
Northway Infant School is seeking to reduce the Published Admission Number (PAN) for September 2024 from 60 to 30.
Northway Infant School
The school are proposing to reduce their PAN from 60 to 30.
The factors which have been considered by Northway Infant School in deciding to consult on this proposal are:
- A drop in pupil numbers within the local demographic
- Ensuring the efficient use of resources in school
- The school is committed to reviewing the PAN if the local context dictates a need for this in the future
Although the Regulations and Code of Practice relating to school admissions no longer require an admissions authority to consult when maintaining or increasing a school’s PAN, there remains a requirement to consult when the proposal is to reduce a PAN.
Full consultation details available are available at School Admission Consultation which is open from 20th October – 15th December 2022
Any comments regarding the consultation should be made via the link above.
