Our School Day
We open the doors at 8.35 a.m. and registration is at 8.45 a.m.
Parents are encouraged into the classroom at the start of the term with our Reception children, helping to build a strong home/school relationship. Year one and year two children are expected to come into the classroom on their own to help them become independent, ready for their transition into the next year group and then into their junior years.
Morning break time is at 10.35 until 10:50
In the afternoon, children in Year One and Year Two have ‘10 a day’ which is an opportunity to have 10 minutes exercise in the playground, unless they have already had P.E. that afternoon. Reception children have the opportunity for outdoor play throughout the day.
Lunchtime is from 12.00 until 1.00 p.m.
We have whole school assemblies everyday at 10.20 a.m. in the hall apart from Monday when the children have an assembly in their classroom.
We encourage walking to school wherever possible. We have a number of bike racks if you wish to ride to school instead. In order to keep our toddlers safe please ask your children to pop their bike or scooter in the shed and not to ride it on the playground - thank you. If you need to travel by car, please park wisely to ensure the safety of the children and respect nearby residents.
The school day ends at 3.00 p.m.
If normal arrangements regarding the collection of your child changes (i.e. a different person is picking up your child who you have not already detailed on your intake form), then please let us know. This will avoid any confusion or upset.
