The whole school took part in Read for RNIB day. We provided the children with a sensory experience to help them understand how blind people can read, had a Mad Hatter's Tea Party and took part in the Readathon to raise funds for the RNIB.
World Book Week 2018
We had great fun during world book week.
On Tuesday we went on a reading adventure around the school, and we got to visit different zones with our friends. We had lots of fun sharing books and poems. We acted out stories, compared film and book versions of Paddington, played with rhyme and even performed magic!
On Wednesday we were busy in our classes inventing, writing and then illustrating our own class stories. We are looking forward to sharing each other’s stories.
We were also lucky to have the year 5 children from Carrant Brook come and read and share book with us. It was a relaxing afternoon spent listening and discussing stories.
Finally on World Book Day we had fun dressing up as book characters. The children all looked absolutely amazing and even the staff came in dressed as Where’s Wally.
