Governors - If you would like to contact a Governor please email the Clerk at, or call in to the office.

The governing body has been re-constituted under the new regulations on 6th May 2015.  We now have 1 Staff Governor, 1 Parent Governor, 1 Head Teacher and 4 Co-opted Governors.  Total number of Governors - 7

Mrs. Tania Le Bourgeois

Chair of Governors

I became a Parent Governor in 2011 when my son Adam was in reception at Northway Infant School. I had already joined the Home and School Association and was really enjoying my involvement with the school so becoming a Governor was a natural progression for me. I have since amended my status to Community Governor. Currently I am Vice-Chair of the Governing Body, Chair of the Standards committee and governor for Literacy. I am also on the Resources committee and presently link governor for Purple class. I have two children and one hamster and whilst my background has been in banking and local government I am now a full-time carer for my mum. In my 'leisure' time I enjoy relaxing with a good book or film. Being a governor can be challenging, usually informative, sometimes demanding but always very rewarding and even at times fun!

Co-opted Governor - appointed by the Governing Body

LA Governor

Mr Pete McClintock

I am a parent governor, who joined the governing body in April 2017.  I've lived in Northway most of my life, and I was a student at Northway Infant School myself. I have been involved in the school, attending school trips with different year groups and I do enjoy seeing the children learn and grow. I have two daughters, the eldest of which will be joining Carrant Brook from September 2017 and my youngest will start pre-school at the same time, in the children's centre. I work at GE Aviation in Bishops Cleeve as a Tester on the JSF programme.  Previously I was part of the store management and training team in Morrisons within various stores in the UK. I enjoy going to the gym.

Parent Governor

Elected by the parents of the School

Mr Chris Taylor

Governor responsible for Children in the Care of the Local Authority.

I have recently started a new career in Cyber related Project Management with a globally recognised company at our locally based office.  Previously I was a serving member of the Royal Air Force for 12 years within the intelligence trade.  As well as serving in the UK, I have worked with the US and Royal Navy based at RAF Mawgan in Cornwall and then Virginia Beach, USA, before taking up a position at GCHQ, based in Cheltenham.  I have also been on three operational tours in Afghanistan, based at Kandahar Air Field.  My oldest daughter has been through Northway Infant School and my youngest daughter has started in Reception Class.  I am a very approachable person and would invite any questions or queries parents might have regarding the areas of Governance I am responsible for.

Co-opted Governor - appointed by the Governing Body

Mr Dave Watson

 Vice Chair

Co-opted Governor

Mr Neil Williams

Governor responsible for Health and Safety I have now been a parent governor at Northway Infants School for just over 12 months, and I serve on the Resources committee.

I am qualified with the Association of Accounting Technicians, and I have been working in the payroll and bookkeeping industry for over 10 years, setting up my own business in February 2011.

I am a Northway resident. I attended Northway Infants School myself, as have my four children. Northway Infants School has played a vital role in the growth and development of my own children, and I would like to assist the school in continuing to do such good work.
