WELCOME TO NORTHWAY INFANT SCHOOL

A school where children SHINE and are at the heart of every decision we make.

We provide a safe, happy environment which stimulates, challenges and motivates our children to  develop their independence, responsibility and respect.

We encourage every child to SHINE in their own unique and individual way and be..

                                                                                                                                                                                                Safe

                                                             Happy

                                                             Independent

                                                            Never give up

Excel to be the best that they can be!

Our innovative SHINE curriculum is designed by and for our children and we believe prepares our children for life-long learning and equips them with the resilience to achieve success.

We are a two form entry infant school based in the heart of the community of Northway, which is situated on the outskirts of the historic Gloucestershire town of Tewkesbury. We are fortunate in having such a wonderful town nearby which is a constant source of historic information and provides access to local artists, community groups, historical buildings and local expertise.

From September 2023, we have two EYFS classes, one year 1 class and two year 2 classes, having had three mixed KS1 classes for the past two years.

If you would like to come and visit our outstanding school, please contact our school office administrator, Maria Taylor via email at admin@northway.gloucs.sch.uk or on 01684 293447

We warmly welcome visitors to come and see how we all SHINE in our school.

We hope you enjoy exploring our website to find out more about our ethos and why to us, it is the most important school in the world!

Mrs. Danielle Morley - a proud Head Teacher

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Message from the Chair of Governors - Mrs. Joanne Fay

Hello!  I am Joanne Fay and I have been a governor at Northway Infant School for over five years and have been Chair of Governors for three years.

I have been a school governor for many years at different schools; about 25 years in all. I sit on both of our two committees: Finance & Personnel, and Curriculum & Standards. I am also responsible for monitoring English, Early Years and Art, which means I come into school three times a year to visit the subject leaders for those subjects to discuss progress of pupils and any plans for the future. I am very proud to lead a strong and dedicated board of Governors to ensure we provide the best possible education for the children at our school.

The best bit is talking to the children as they share what they have learned and what they love about Northway Infants. Outside of school we have a camper van which takes us all over the country and we take our bikes with us so get plenty of opportunities to explore the countryside which we love.
